Dining at Roika is an event in itself. Breakfast is served on the verandah as the mist lifts off the river; lunch is a leisurely affair in the thatched dining room; and dinner — beneath the baobabs by lantern light — is the part our guests talk about for years.
Our chefs blend Swahili coastal cooking with international classics, using produce from local farms and the lodge's own herb garden. Dietary needs — vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or a child's plate — are always welcomed.

As the sun drops behind the escarpment, the bar becomes the heart of the camp. Try our signature “Roika Sunset” — gin, baobab fruit and a splash of lime — or a well-earned local beer. Fine wines, a carefully chosen cellar, and fresh coffee from the slopes of Kilimanjaro are served all day.
