Roika Tarangire Tented Lodge sits on the banks of the Tarangire River, just a five-minute drive from the park's main gate. It's a position we chose deliberately: close enough that the safari begins before the vehicle does, yet far enough into the wildlife corridor that guests wake to elephants crossing the river below their verandah.
Built in the classic East African tented style — canvas walls, timber decks and thatched dining under the baobabs — the lodge runs on a simple idea: give guests somewhere genuinely comfortable to come back to between game drives.
